Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Director in Quality & Risk Management to lead a regional team responsible for the implementation and delivery of valuation-related products and services. The role focuses on risk assessment, policy enforcement, and adherence to service level targets within the Valuation function.

The ideal candidate has a strong leadership record, MAI certification, and state licensure, with experience guiding multiple stakeholders and managing complex information.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8–12 years of relevant experience. MAI designation and state certification/license preferred.
  • Experience in staffing, training, development, coaching, and performance management is valued.
  • Ability to convey complex information clearly and influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing support for valuers to manage risk and ensure timely delivery of appraisal reviews.
  • Help establish and enforce risk policies and PAG guidelines across the practice area.
  • Focus on risk assessments and valuation review approvals; ensure alignment with business plans.
  • Collaborate with partners to drive initiatives and communicate with clients.
  • Apply deep knowledge across related domains to improve performance and cross-functional outcomes.
  • Lead by example and drive CBRE RISE values, persuading teams toward action while aligning with business plans.

About The Role

As a CBRE Quality & Risk Management (QRM) Director, you will manage a team responsible for the implementation and delivery of a product or service in a specific region. This job is part of the Valuation function. They are responsible for inspecting and determining values of land, property, and businesses.


What You'll Do


  • Provide ongoing support for valuers to manage risk. Follow the set framework, structure, delivery and management of the Appraisal Report Review Process, ensuring alignment with the America's Business Plan and Business TAT (Turn Around Time) requirements.

  • Assist with the creation and enforcement of policies and procedures. Drive the implementation of Valuation & Advisory Services Practice Area Guidelines (PAG), key risk mitigation procedures, and ensures adherence.

  • Focus on the approval of incoming Risk Assessments and the valuation review process.

  • Collaborate with partners to drive initiatives and align with business plans. Review reports and communications with clients.

  • Apply a robust knowledge of multiple subject areas, the business, and key drivers which impact departmental and cross-functional performance.

  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Persuade managers and other colleagues to take action while being guided by the organization's functional business plans. Communicate with external partners, vendors, and customers of divergent interests to reach a common goal.

  • Identify and solve multi-dimensional, operational, and organizational problems using the appropriate resources within or outside the department.

  • Significantly improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within job field.


What You'll Need


  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8-12 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Must have General State Certification/License in at least one state and MAI designation.

  • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.

  • Ability to lead the exchange of complicated and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.

  • Leadership skills to set, manage, and achieve targets with a direct impact on multiple department results within a function.

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Expert organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive approach.
