Job summary

Ellwood City Area School District invites applications for the anticipated position of Head Wrestling Coach. The district seeks a motivated, organized, and student-centered coach to lead our wrestling program.

Coaching experience at the varsity level is preferred. Manage all aspects of the district wrestling program, including season planning, practice scheduling, skill development, conditioning, and in-competition coaching.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience at varsity level preferred; high school/club wrestling success desirable.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Must possess current Act 34, Act 114, Act 151, Act 126, and Act 168 clearances.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the wrestling program: season planning, practice scheduling, skill development, and in‑competition coaching.
• Provide mentorship to student athletes, emphasizing sportsmanship, academics, safety, and personal growth.
• Coordinate with athletic directors, administration, and staff to ensure a safe, compliant program.
