Job summary

Kamehameha Schools Hawaii Campus is seeking an assistant coach to support their varsity wrestling team. This is a temporary, seasonal position for the 2026-2027 school year with season dates between November and February.

The position is paid a one-time stipend of $4,578.00 at the end of the season, and involves coordinating or assisting with the Kamehameha Athletic Sports program, coaching, instructing students, and supporting athlete development per KS philosophy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in coaching.
• NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching Certification.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple assignments.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• Previous coaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Coaches, instructs students and develops players and teams.
• Organizes and supervises well-planned practices and games.
• Maintains ethical conduct and serves as a positive role model.
• Develops team concepts and promotes sportsmanship.
• Helps maintain equipment and handles administrative duties.
• Communicates effectively with athletes, parents, staff and community.
