Detroit Country Day School seeks a Varsity Track & Field Assistant Coach to join our athletics program. Based in Beverly Hills, MI, you will report to the Head Coach and assist with practices, tryouts, and competitions while upholding school policies and safety standards.

The role requires coaching experience and CPR certification, with a focus on developing student-athletes both on and off the field within a rigorous liberal arts environment.

Qualifications

• One year of high school coaching experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must have and maintain current CPR certification.
• Ability to work effectively with coaching staff, students and parents.
• Ideal candidates will contribute as both faculty and coach within the school.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all school rules and policies.
• Provide coaching services as directed and support athletic programs.
• Assist with tryouts and determining team members.
• Organize, prepare and conduct individual and team practices and competitions.
• Ensure student safety in facilities and during activities.
• Coordinate with athletics leadership on scheduling, facilities, travel, and equipment.
