Job summary

Rowan-Salisbury Schools in Spencer, North Carolina, seeks an Athletic Coach for Varsity Men's Tennis at North Rowan High School. The coach reports to the head coach and athletic director, and will supervise a staff of coaches, implement athletic policies, and promote sportsmanship and academic focus.

Responsibilities include coordinating the program, enforcing regulations, organizing conferences and clinics, training staff, maintaining equipment and facilities, and mentoring student athletes

Qualifications

• Ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
• Previous successful coaching experience in the sport (preferred).
• Substantial knowledge of the sport's technical aspects and ongoing learning.

Responsibilities

• Has a thorough knowledge of athletic policies and ensures staff compliance.
• Understands regulations; interprets and enforces them for staff.
• Refers requests through proper channels and attends required meetings.
• Establishes philosophy and coordinates conferences, clinics and staff meetings.
• Trains and informs staff, delegates duties and evaluates assistants.
