VARSITY SOFTBALL HEAD COACH

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous coaching experience preferred with a strong emphasis on teaching fundamentals and evidence of success
• Knowledge and understanding of Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) rules and regulations
• Experience working with multi-cultural and racially diverse student/athletes
• Outstanding personal and professional characteristics
• Demonstrated coaching strategies and methods that align with the District’s Student-Focused Coaching and Leadership philosophies
• Promote academic achievement, sportsmanship, and personal development among team members
• Ability to work collaboratively with the athletic department and coaching staff to ensure a safe and well-organized program
• Represent Dowagiac Union School District in a professional and respectful manner at all practices, games, and school-related events

REQUIREMENTS:

• CPR/First Aid Certified (or willingness to obtain)
