Job summary

La Costa Canyon High School in Carlsbad, CA, seeks a Varsity Gymnastics Head Coach for the 2026-2027 season. The coach will lead with academics as the priority and develop team rules, schedules, and strong communication with students and families.

Responsibilities include maintaining safety certifications, upholding CIF/ NFHS codes, and fostering sportsmanship and educational values among athletes. Previous coaching experience is required; youth coaching preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching the sport at a high school level.
• Ability to teach, model educational values and sportsmanship.
• Must follow NFHS and CIF Coaches Codes of Conduct.

Responsibilities

• Understand academics are priority for student-athletes.
• Develop team rules and communicate with team and parents.
• Provide schedules for practices, tournaments and games.
• Maintain CPR/First Aid certificates and TB clearance.
• Communicate NFHS, CIF, SDUHSD and team rules to athletes and parents.
