Job summary

SAU 36 White Mountains Reg School District in Whitefield, NH seeks a Varsity Girls Tennis Coach to lead our student-athletes. The role focuses on skill development, discipline, sportsmanship, and building confidence through competition.

Responsibilities include planning preseason and in-season practices, coordinating with the athletic director, enforcing codes, supervising equipment and facilities, and representing the program with professionalism at all times.

Qualifications

• Appropriate certificate, license, or legal credential required by NHIAA or eligible.
• Ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
• Previous coaching experience desirable.
• Head coach must have substantial knowledge of technical aspects and continue to study new theories and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and plan preseason and regular season program of strength and conditioning and practices with approval from the athletic director.
• Oversee participation during summer conditioning and between-season conditioning programs.
• Model good sportsmanship and maintain appropriate conduct toward players, officials, other coaches and spectators.
• Make recommendations on scheduling interscholastic contests, scrimmages, and use of district athletic facilities.
• Recommend purchases of equipment, supplies, and uniforms with the athletic director.
• Submit rosters and medical forms to the athletic director prior to participation; maintain consent/medical forms.
• Oversee safety conditions of the facility and supervise student athletes in various areas.
• Attend all games and practices; document practice plans.
• Enforce disciplinary codes and NHIAA athletic codes and oversee penalties.
• Submit accident reports to the athletic director or nurse after injuries.
