Job summary

Suffield Public Schools is looking for a Varsity Assistant Girls Field Hockey Coach to assist in coaching at Suffield High School starting in Fall 2026. The position requires valid CT Teacher Certification and CPR/AED certification.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the sport and demonstrate a positive approach to engaging students. This role reports to the Director of Athletics and pays $1,521.

Qualifications

• Valid CT Teacher Certification or Coaching Permit required.
• Completion of Module 15 Head and Neck Injuries is necessary.
• Experience in coaching or knowledge of field hockey is essential.

Responsibilities

• Engage students in sport-specific skills and strategies.
• Lead middle and high school level programs effectively.
• Work closely with athletics staff and students.

Education

Valid CT Teacher Certification

Five Year Renewable Coaching Permit
