• CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).
• Completion of state or VHSL-required coaching education/training.

• Uphold program rules, discipline standards, and expectations set by the Head Coach, Athletic Director, and school administration.

Job Title: Girls' Varsity Basketball Coach- High School

Reports To: Head Girls' Basketball Coach/ Athletic Director / Principal

Position Summary

The Assistant Girls' Basketball Coach supports the Head Coach in leading, organizing, and developing the girls' basketball program. This position is responsible for assisting with player development, practice planning, game strategy, supervision of athletes, and maintaining compliance with school, district, and VHSL policies. The Assistant Coach serves as a role model for student-athletes by promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, academic achievement, and personal growth.

Work Conditions

• Practices and games occur after school, evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
