Job summary

ReNEW Schools in Indiana is seeking an Athletic Department Assistant Coach (Varsity Cheer Assistant - Winter) to support the Head Coach in preparing athletes for competition and developing teamwork and sportsmanship.

You will work closely with the Principal and Athletic Director to coordinate practices, monitor academics, and ensure safe equipment and facilities use, while modeling positive conduct and emphasizing student growth.

Qualifications

• Experience as an assistant coach in a school setting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the rules and strategies of the sport.
• Ability to build positive, respectful relationships with students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Coach with game strategies and player techniques.
• Schedule facilities for practices and competitions with Athletic Director.
• Coach players individually or in groups on rules, equipment, and technique.
• Monitor athletes' academic progress to help maintain eligibility.
• Model sportsmanship and proper conduct toward players, officials, and spectators.
