Job summary

Brookstone School in Columbus, GA invites applications for a Seasonal Community Coach—Director of Programs for Boy's Tennis, Spring '26. The role leads and develops the varsity tennis program, overseeing practice design, competition planning, and student-athlete mentorship.

The coach will manage roster decisions, scheduling, and equipment, while upholding school policies and fostering teamwork, discipline, and athletic excellence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience coaching tennis at high school or collegiate level.
• Experience coaching boys' teams preferred.
• Strong knowledge of tennis rules, strategies, and techniques.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• CPR/First Aid certification required; must be obtained prior to season start.
• Background check as required by school district.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement practice plans focusing on skill development, strategy, and conditioning.
• Oversee varsity roster selection and match coordination, scheduling, transport, and equipment management.
• Ensure adherence to school policies including eligibility and conduct.
• Foster sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect within the program.
• Lead in resolving team conflicts and support student-athlete development.
• Communicate regularly with Athletic Department and maintain records of stats and attendance.
