Proviso Township High Schools District 209 is seeking a Boys Golf - Varsity Head Coach to lead the program under the supervision of the Athletic Director. The role requires collaboration with students, faculty, administrators, and parents to implement a comprehensive, competitive program while fostering a positive team culture.

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois State Teaching Certificate (Type 03, 09, or 10) OR ASEP/NFHS Certification.
• CPR and AED certification compliant with IHSA requirements.
• IHSA concussion awareness training and safety protocols.
• Background check and fingerprinting clearance.
• Title IX training compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of the boys golf program.
• Lead and mentor students, staff, and parents to build a positive, competitive culture.
• Develop training programs, drills, and game strategies.
• Ensure eligibility, academic support, and adherence to ISBE/IHSA rules.
• Coordinate equipment, scheduling, and budget with Athletic Director.
