Job summary

East Side Union High School District is seeking a Varsity Coach to lead the program with focus on skill development, discipline, and teamwork. The coach will work closely with parents, students, staff and the community to maintain a high standard of sportsmanship and performance.

The role requires knowledge of CIF/CCS and BVAL conduct codes, organizing practices, and balancing academic demands with athletics. Coaching certification and fingerprint clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Playing experience at high school, collegiate, amateur or professional level.
• HS coaching experience at JV level or youth leagues.
• Current State of California coaching certifications.
• Current district certifications including mandated reporter training.
• Pass District Fingerprint clearance.
• Professional references.
• Review date 01/18/2018.

• Demonstrates knowledge of rules and techniques for the sport.
• Instills commitment, discipline and teamwork in students.
• Organizes practices and designs conditioning programs.
• Manages program following district guidelines and policies.
