HARDING HIGH SCHOOL in Marion, Ohio, is seeking an Assistant Varsity Bowling coach for the 2026-2027 winter season. This is a Supplemental Contract position reporting to the Extracurricular Activities Director.

Time schedule is seasonal as determined by OHSAA; salary is stipend-based. The ideal candidate holds a PASP permit or equivalent, with fundamentals of coaching, concussion education, CPR and First Aid/Health Safety training, and demonstrates a strong knowledge of bowling.

Qualifications

  • Pupil Activity Supervisor Permit required or equivalent.
  • Fundamentals of Coaching knowledge.
  • Concussion Education.
  • CPR Certification.
  • First Aid/Health Safety training.
  • Lindsey’s Law training for Sudden Cardiac Arrest.
  • Alternative to specified qualifications may be considered by the superintendent/board of education.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, promote, and facilitate student athletes to achieve maximum potential in the activity.
  • Assist Head Coach in organizing practices and meetings.
  • Maintain professional behavior and ethics during contests and practices.
  • Notify parents of medical attention needs and keep records.
  • Assist with inventory and dissemination of athletic equipment.
  • Work cooperatively with staff, administration, and parents.
