Job summary

Qualifications

• Demonstrate knowledge of fundamental skills and techniques, as well as advanced techniques.
• Demonstrate the ability to teach, enforce, advocate for, and model appropriate behavior, character development, sportsmanship, and educational values for student-athletes.
• Demonstrate the ability to follow the NFHS and CIF Coaches Code of Conduct.
• Prior experience in the sport is required; experience working with youth is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand that academics are priority for student-athletes.
• Monitor student-athletes' academic performance and communicate with families.
• Develop team rules and expectations and communicate these with team & parents.
• Provide schedules for practices, tournaments and games.
• Communicate season schedule changes in a timely manner.
• Maintain CPR/First Aid certificates and TB clearance.
• Encourage all student-athletes to do their best and represent the school well.
• Apply school and team rules to all student-athletes equally.
• Be professional in all actions and words and create a positive team environment.
• Communicate with parents and student-athletes regarding injuries and attendance policies.
