Job summary

USA DeBusk is seeking a Vapor Control Technician in Texas to operate and set up vapor control equipment, monitor environmental systems, and perform site walkthroughs across industrial sites. The role requires lifting hoses, safety compliance, and readiness to travel for extended periods.

Candidates should be able to respond to emergency calls 24/7, work in confined spaces with extreme temperatures, and pass required screenings. TWIC preferred; oil/gas contractor experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Position Summary:

The Vapor Control Technician will perform a wide range of physical activities that require strength and flexibility of whole body for handling, positioning, moving and manipulating equipment and materials, emergency response, equipment operation, project site setup, mobilization, chemical handling, site remediation and process verification and walkthroughs.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and set-up all necessary vapor control equipment such as scrubbers. Thermal oxidizers, flares and all manner of supporting equipment such as heat exchangers, hoses and ductwork in accordance with operational and training and guidelines and safety procedures.
• Adhere to all safety policies and practices, including but not limited to personal protective gear.
• Ability to work safely in and around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous, and heaving industrial settings.
• Manually clean, install, fit repair valves, caps, hoses, pumps, gaskets and all other external and internal equipment on tanks.
• Maintain operational integrity of environmental systems, to include monitoring and data logging.
• Assist in the inspection of equipment, hoses, connections, pumps and general work area prior to starting any job. Informs supervisor of deficiencies, which may cause accidents, injuries or lost productivity.

Requirements:

• Must be able to travel for extended periods of time.
• Respond to emergency calls 24 hours, 7 days a week if called upon.
• Ability to work for extended periods of time within a confined space, in extreme temperature environments, and at high elevation.
• Ability to perform duties in accordance with training and standard operating procedures, Ability to understand and follow specific procedures and directions.
• Ability to lift, move and handle up to 50lb hoses.
• Valid TWIC preferred.
• Successfully complete drug screen, pre-employment physical and all required background checks.

Experience Required:

• Oil and gas contractor experience is preferred but not required.
• General labor experience is a plus.
