Job summary

JB Poindexter & Co in Phoenix, Arizona is seeking a skilled Van Installer to join their team. You will be responsible for installing specialty truck equipment, including ladder racks, back-up cameras, and strobe lighting.

The ideal candidate will have over 2 years of welding and electrical wiring experience, an ability to troubleshoot independently, and the capability to build schematics. This position comes with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and a 401(k) plan.

• 2+ years of electrical wiring experience.

Responsibilities

• Installs specialty truck equipment including ladder racks and back-up cameras.
• Handles installation of locking mechanisms and strobe lighting.
• Independently troubleshoots complex hydraulics.

How You Will Make an Impact

A Van Installer at Reading Truck works under the direction of the Shop Supervisor to complete the installation of specialty truck equipment such as service utility bodies, stake bodies, dump bodies, hitches, and other commercial truck accessories.

The Nuts and Bolts

• Installs ladder racks, mud flaps
• Installs back-up cameras
• Installation of locking mechanisms
• Installation of strobe lighting

Required Credentials

• 2+ years of welding skills (metal and aluminum)
• 2+ years of electrical wiring
• Ability to build schematics
• Complex Hydraulics knowledge and experience (a plus)
• Independent ability to troubleshoot
• Ability to operate power hand tools (and have basic tools)
