Job summary

Northgate Health Care Facility is looking for a Van Driver/Maintenance to safely transport residents and staff and help maintain a clean, safe facility environment. The role requires a high school diploma and CPR certification, with a clean driving record and prior van/bus driving experience.

Located in North Tonawanda, NY, this full-time position runs 1:30 pm–12 am, four days with alternating weekends, offering benefits such as PTO, health/dental/vision, and retirement options.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Clean driving record and van/bus driving experience required.
  • Experience transporting residents or patients in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Comfortable operating maintenance equipment and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport residents, patients, and staff to and from appointments and designated locations
  • Coordinate transportation schedules with facility staff and ensure timely arrivals and departures
  • Maintain daily trip logs, mileage records, vehicle checklists, and ensure vehicle cleanliness and safety
  • Monitor and report safety concerns, hazards, or maintenance issues
  • Assist with general building and grounds maintenance, repairs, cleaning, and upkeep
  • Operate hand and power tools to assist with facility maintenance projects
  • Assist with snow removal, salting, lawn care, and exterior maintenance as needed
  • Support facility safety procedures, fire drills, generator testing, and preventive maintenance activities
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor

Rate: $17.60- $20.13/hour (depending on experience)
Shift: Full-Time
