Westfielddevelopment is looking for a dedicated individual to transport elderly citizens safely to their appointments and various destinations. Candidates must have a valid MA driver’s license and a high school education or GED. The role includes responsibilities such as ensuring passenger safety, inspecting vehicles, and maintaining cleanliness.
Ideal candidates will have prior experience operating a passenger van and be physically capable of performing various tasks. Work is largely independent with limited supervision, emphasizing safety and effective communication.
Work involves routine transport of elderly citizens to and from appointed destinations such as doctor appointments, Senior Center visits, grocery stores and more. Work is performed mainly off site on the road and with limited supervision. Makes frequent contact with elderly passengers as well as Council on Aging staff, office personnel at appointment locations, other City employees, and family members of passengers.
This position works under the direct supervision of the Transportation Coordinator.

Physical Skills: Ability to travel throughout the City is necessary. Work is largely physical in nature including standing, stooping, kneeling, bending, squatting and may be repetitive in nature. Lifting of up to 50 pounds and may be bulky with some pulling and pushing or reaching. May carry 30-50 pounds. May require climbing including on/off vehicles.
Visual Skills: Visual demands require routinely reading documents and operating motor vehicles and other equipment.
