Job summary

Dungarvin is seeking a Van Driver to transport individuals daily, operate the van, and collaborate with the team to optimize transportation schedules. You will maintain vehicle safety, complete weekly checklists, and log mileage to support reliable services.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Punctuality and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Complete Basic Orientation and attend recommended in-service training.

Responsibilities

• Drive the van and transport individuals daily.
• Collaborate with team to create efficient transportation schedules using scheduling software.
• Maintain knowledge of van operation for safe transport.
• Complete weekly safety checklists and keep vehicle clean.
• Maintain daily mileage logs and monthly maintenance logs.
• Adapt to changing transportation needs and adjust schedules.
• Interact positively with individuals served, families, case managers, and the public.
• Provide backup coverage for vacations, illness, or emergencies.
• Be flexible with schedule changes, including weekends and holidays.
• Ensure the van is safe and sanitary for transportation.
• Respond effectively to emergencies and follow procedures.
• Notify the supervisor of needed repairs or concerns.
