Responsibilities

• Keep the van clean, organized, and stocked with safety supplies.
• Report vehicle issues, incidents, and delays to the Center Director.
• Support classroom staff as needed when not driving (optional).

About This Role

The Van Driver is responsible for safely transporting children to and from school and the childcare center in a timely and professional manner. This role requires strict adherence to safety policies, licensing regulations, and center procedures to ensure each child’s wellbeing during transport.

What You’ll Do

• Safely transport children between the daycare center and designated schools according to the daily schedule.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
• Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and center transportation policies.
• Maintain accurate attendance logs for children during pick-up and drop-off.
• Assist children in and out of the van, ensuring seatbelts are properly fastened and all children are safely secured.
• Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and daycare staff regarding transportation matters.
• Keep the van clean, organized, and stocked with necessary safety supplies (first aid kit, emergency contact list, etc.).
• Report any vehicle issues, incidents, and delays immediately to the Center Director.
• Support classroom staff as needed when not driving (optional based on center needs

Requirements
