Job summary

Southpoint Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Durham, NC is hiring a Van Driver to serve as a vital link between residents, care staff, and activities. You will transport residents to appointments and outings, assist with boarding, and perform pre-trip safety checks to ensure safety and comfort during trips.

We welcome dedicated individuals with a CNA license and a compassionate approach to resident care.

Qualifications

• Must be a patient transporter with compassionate bedside manner.
• Experience in healthcare transport preferred.
• Clean driving record and adherence to safety policies.
• Able to communicate effectively with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Drive residents to appointments and activities.
• Assist residents with boarding and exiting the vehicle.
• Perform pre-trip safety inspections and vehicle checks.
• Ensure resident safety and comfort during transport.

Position summary

We are searching for a dedicated, compassionate, and energetic individual to be a vital link between residents, care staff, and other facility staff. The Resident Transporter is responsible for ensuring residents are safely taken to outings, doctor's appointments, and other activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Drive resident to/from appointments
• Assist residents with boarding and exiting vehicle
• Perform pre-trip safety inspections
• Clean Driver's License
• Reliable and careful driver
• CNA license necessary
