Job summary

Driver Hire are currently recruiting 3.5 Tonne Van Drivers to work with a number of established clients based in and around Chesterfield. Flexible work, regular shifts or full-time employment are available.

Role involves local and regional deliveries, multi-drop runs, loading and unloading, daily checks, and using handheld devices. Full UK Category B licence required; multi-drop experience is advantageous and the role offers weekly pay and ongoing opportunities.

Qualifications

• Full UK Category B driving licence
• Van driving experience preferred but not essential
• Multi-drop experience advantageous
• Maximum 6 points preferred, subject to client requirements
• Reliable, punctual and professional attitude
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Comfortable with manual handling where required

The Role

Depending on the client and assignment, duties may include:

• Driving 3.5 tonne vans safely and efficiently
• Local and regional deliveries
• Multi-drop deliveries and collections
• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Completing delivery paperwork and using handheld devices
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks
• Following all relevant health & safety procedures
• Working to agreed delivery schedules

What We’re Looking For

• Full UK Category B driving licence
• Previous van driving experience preferred but not essential
• Multi-drop experience would be advantageous
• Maximum 6 points preferred, subject to client requirements
• Reliable, punctual and professional attitude
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Comfortable with manual handling where required
