Job summary

Trinity Health PACE Alexandria is seeking a Full-time Transport Specialist to ensure safe, timely transportation for PACE participants and assist with meal deliveries and essential supplies.

The role emphasizes adherence to schedules, safety standards, and compassionate participant support in everyday operations.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent; an associate degree is preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL with passenger endorsement preferred.
• Minimum one year of experience with elderly or frail populations preferred.
• Ability to provide assistance during boarding and disembarking.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport Trinity Health PACE participants, prioritizing comfort and safety.
• Adhere to schedules and adjust for changes to meet participant needs.
• Operate vehicles in compliance with regulations and safety standards.
• Provide physical assistance to participants during boarding and disembarking.
• Handle biohazard materials with proper precautions.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure equipment functionality.

About Trinity Health PACE Alexandria

Trinity Health PACE Alexandria is a Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) in Central Louisiana that provides comprehensive medical, social, and supportive services that enable older adults to remain safe in their homes and communities. Through an interdisciplinary team approach, PACE coordinates medical care, rehabilitation, transportation, home care, social services, and caregiver support to promote independence, dignity, and quality of life for older adults.

Position Purpose:

Ensure safe and prompt transportation for PACE participants, including meal delivery and essential supplies. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety while promptly reporting any issues to the department leader.

What You'll Do:

• Safely transport PACE participants, prioritizing their comfort and satisfaction.

• Adhere to schedules, adjusting for unforeseen changes and participant needs.

• Operate vehicles in compliance with regulations and safety standards.

• Provide physical assistance to participants as needed during boarding and disembarking.

• Handle biohazard materials with proper precautions.

• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and equipment functionality.
