Job summary

Milliken & Company, a global manufacturing leader, seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to manage shop associates, safety, and preventive maintenance across facility machinery. The role includes calibration oversight, troubleshooting, and training of Engineering Services staff.

You will maintain quality system records for the Valway Complex, coordinate building upkeep, and partner with Process Improvement Engineers on projects. Environmental compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience required.
• Experience with maintenance management principles is preferred.
• Knowledge of environmental and safety policies is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Supervise shop associates, including scheduling and safety oversight.
• Oversee preventive maintenance on all machinery to ensure reliability.
• Supervise calibration procedures and accuracy of instruments.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts to provide prompt, effective solutions.
• Coordinate training for Engineering Services personnel.
• Maintain relevant Valway Complex Quality System records and procedures.
• Ensure proper building maintenance and facilities upkeep.
• Coordinate projects with Process Improvement Engineers.
• Handle additional projects as directed by the Plant Manager.
• Understand environmental impacts of activities and comply with Milliken policies.

Job Description

1. Manage all shop associates (scheduling, work assignments, safety, etc).
2. Manage preventive maintenance on all machinery to assure reliability.
3. Manage calibration procedures.
4. Manage troubleshooting and assure proper solutions to breakdowns.
5. Facilitate training of Engineering Services associates.
6. Manage maintenance of relevant Valway Complex Quality System Records and Procedures.
7. Manage proper building maintenance.
8. Coordinate projects with Process Improvement Engineers.
9. Work on any other projects as assigned by the Plant Manager.
10. Understand the environmental impacts and aspects of job-related activities. Follow established Valway and Milliken and Company guidelines concerning use of all chemicals. Comply with all Environmental regulations and Milliken Environmental Policies and Rules.
11. Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree and/or Experience
