Job summary

Downing USA is seeking a Shop Technician to work in the valve repair shop in Oklahoma City. You will assemble, repair, and test frac valves, wellheads, spool, chokes, actuators, and related surface equipment, following blueprints and procedures.

The role requires reading basic technical documents, performing shop maintenance, and participating in safety and quality programs. A high school diploma is preferred; lifting up to 50 lbs may be required in this role.

Qualifications

• High school degree preferred; may be waived with related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret basic documents and drawings.
• Attention to safety and quality in a shop setting.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and break down new or used equipment; inspect, repair, and test items.
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Perform general shop maintenance and keep work area clean.
• Handle shipping and receiving duties.
• Disassemble, pressure wash, reassemble, test, grease, and paint Wellhead and Frac equipment.
• Maintain hand and power tools; ensure proper usage.
• Support QHSE-related safety and quality reporting and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
