Job summary

Eaton Corporation’s Sherman, TX facility seeks a Value Stream Manager to lead multi‑product line manufacturing operations, driving safety, quality, delivery, inventory and productivity with a continuous improvement mindset.

You will oversee day‑to‑day activities, manage a team, and collaborate across functions to achieve plant objectives, including participation in Profit Plan and cost management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred OR HS diploma with 8+ years manufacturing ops experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years of manufacturing experience.
  • Minimum three (3) years of people leadership/management in manufacturing.
  • No immigration sponsorship or CPT/OPT/STEM OPT/H-1B support available.
  • Preferred: Engineering or Supply Chain degree; SAP experience.
  • Experience deploying Lean methods (5S, Kaizen, Visual Management, VSM, SMED).
  • Six Sigma/Green Belt experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multi-product line manufacturing operations focusing on safety, quality, delivery, inventory and productivity.
  • Establish a proactive safety culture and ensure completion of trainings and programs.
  • Lead direct and indirect reports to improve efficiencies and productivity.
  • Measure and improve SQCDIP performance indicators and drive continuous improvement.
  • Promote a positive Value Stream environment and empower countermeasures and safety improvements.
  • Ensure standardized work processes are documented and followed.
  • Lead talent management, engage employees, assess needs, and develop training.
  • Attend daily accountability and monthly department meetings; coordinate cross‑department support.
  • Assist in preparing annual Profit Plan and manage costs within the plant.

Job description

Eaton’s Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions (GEIS) division is currently seeking a Value Stream Manager to join the team. This is an onsite role, based at the Sherman, TX manufacturing facility. Relocation assistance is being provided for any applicant residing outside a 50-mile radius of Sherman, TX!

The expected annual salary range for this role is $113000 - $165000 a year.

What you’ll do:

As a key member of the Sherman Leadership Team, the Value Stream Manager will be responsible for managing performance of multi-product line manufacturing operations with respect to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity. The Value Stream Manager (VSM) must have a continuous improvement mindset while overseeing day-to-day activities and leverage other functions to achieve plant’s objectives.

  • Establish a proactive safety culture of zero incidents while promoting and ensuring the completion of safety trainings and programs.
  • Lead a team of direct and indirect reports to implement improvements to efficiencies & productivity in the respective work areas.
  • Measure, communicate and improve key SQCDIP performance indicators and act as an agent to support continuous improvement activities that achieve established improvement goals to become an Eaton Model Plant.
  • Instill and maintain a positive team atmosphere in the Value Stream that engages and empowers employees to implement countermeasures and safety improvements.
  • Ensure standardized work processes are properly documented and followed.
  • Lead operational talent management inclusive of employee engagement and performance management. This includes assessing current team members, identifying needs, creating robust training, and developing team to further expand the talent bench.
  • Hold regular daily accountability and monthly department meetings and assign team member tasks and coordinate support activities from departments outside of the team.
  • Participate in preparing the annual Profit Plan and manage costs within that Profit Plant.

You are also highly proficient in Microsoft Office tools, using data and insights to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution preferred OR High School diploma and at least 8 years of manufacturing operations experience with a proven track record of leadership and advancement into roles of increasing responsibility.
  • Minimum five (5) years of manufacturing experience
  • Minimum three (3) years of people leadership/management experience in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Six Sigma/Green Belt experience
