Job summary

NEOTech in Colorado is seeking a Value Stream Manager to lead the end-to-end flow of materials and activities from concept to customer. You will oversee factory employees, drive Lean improvements, and coordinate cross-functional teams to meet quality, delivery, and safety goals.

The role emphasizes Kaizen leadership, data-driven problem solving, and mentoring direct reports to build a high-performing, engaged workforce while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or related field.
  • 3–5+ years in manufacturing, operations, or supply chain with supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Lean and Six Sigma experience: value stream mapping, Kaizen, continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead End-to-End Value Stream: oversee activities delivering products from raw materials to customers.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement: apply Lean, value stream mapping, process optimization to reduce waste.
  • Drive Operational Goals: hit KPIs for quality, delivery, scrap, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate Cross-Functional Teams: align production, engineering, supply chain, quality, PM and maintenance.
  • Resource Management: optimize resources and ensure readiness of facility and processes.
  • Employee Development and Leadership: mentor and manage direct reports; build a high-performing team.
  • Communicate and Report: use visual management and metrics to track progress and accountability.
  • Facilitate Kaizen and Lean Events: lead workshops and rapid problem-solving activities.
  • Ensure Compliance and Safety: enforce safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Job description

A Value Stream Manager directly manages the factory employees in the value stream, and optimizes the entire value stream process, ensuring efficient flow of materials, information, and activities from concept to customer while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.Essential Job ElementsManage End-to-End Value Stream: Oversee the employees and entire sequence of activities that deliver products or services, from raw materials through production and delivery to customers.Lead Continuous Improvement: Implement Lean principles, value stream mapping, and process optimization to identify and eliminate waste and improve flow.Drive Operational Goals: Achieve key performance indicators related to quality, delivery, scrap reduction, safety, and customer satisfaction.Coordinate Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with production, engineering, supply chain, quality, Program Management and maintenance teams to align efforts and resolve issues that impact the value stream.Resource Management: Optimize resource allocation and ensure facility and process readiness.Employee Development and Leadership: Mentor, coach, and manage direct reports and team members to build a high-performing, engaged workforce.Communicate and Report: Use visual management tools, daily performance metrics, and value stream boards to communicate progress, identify root causes of problems, and ensure accountability.Facilitate Kaizen and Lean Events: Lead continuous improvement workshops, rapid problem-solving sessions, and sustainable Lean activities across shifts and teams.Ensure Compliance and Safety: Promote adherence to safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies to create a secure work environment.Job Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & AbilitiesLeadership and Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for leading individuals, influencing cross-functional partners, and fostering collaboration.Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with EMS production processes, equipment (e.g., SMT Equipment), MES systems, and quality standards such as ISO.Project Management: Skill in planning, coordinating, and executing initiatives aligned with strategic goals.Experience/EducationBachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field is commonly required; advanced degrees are a plus.Experience: Typically 3 to 5+ years in manufacturing, operations, or supply chain environments with supervisory or leadership experience.Lean and Six Sigma Expertise: Proficiency in Lean principles, value stream mapping, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies.Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify inefficiencies, and implement effective solutions.Behavior CompetenciesAdaptabilityProblem Solving, Decision Making and Continuous ImprovementInitiative, Reliable, DependableSafety & Environmental Awareness / ProactivenessTeamwork and Positive RelationshipsWork Standards, Quality & Attention to DetailsDue to ITAR and / or CUI compliance, this position requires candidates to be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident.Benefits Offered: Comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental and vision coverage; company-paid basic life/AD&D insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance; voluntary supplemental insurances, flexible spending accounts and employee assistance program (EAP).
