Baxter is seeking an Industrial Engineer to drive operational excellence in our Puerto Rico manufacturing operations. You will lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives, perform time studies, line balancing, and capacity analyses to improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
You will develop standardized work, monitor KPIs, and collaborate across Production, Quality, and Supply Chain to sustain gains and support new product introductions. Excellent problem-solving and communication required.

Responsible for driving operational excellence through industrial engineering methodologies, process optimization, and performance management. This role focuses on improving productivity, quality, cost efficiency, and delivery by analyzing workflows, eliminating waste, and implementing data-driven decisions using key performance indicators (KPIs). The position partners cross-functionally to ensure continuous improvement initiatives align with business objectives, fostering a culture of accountability, efficiency, and sustainable growth.
Excellent interpersonal relations skills. Must be knowledgeable of Baxter specifications and procedures. Strong knowledge of Baxter manufacturing process. Knowledge on GMP-QSR'S, OSHA, BHEST, SPEC, SOP and HR policies. Work closely with other departments administrative and managers. Keeps good communication upward and downward the administrative chain of command. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, employees and internal or external audits.
Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Physical demands requirements are in excess of those for Sedentary Work. Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible.
Bilingual (English and Spanish).
Bachelor's degree in engineering, science or related field with more than three (3) years of supervisory experience or Operational Excellence roles are acceptable. Previous experience in a regulated manufacturing FDA environment is preferred.
