  • Complete internal reviews of valuation reports to ensure adherence to scope requirements.
  • Ensure quality of analysis via the 5 basic components (completeness, accuracy, adequacy, relevance, reasonableness)
  • Mitigate Risk
  • Be a resource for appraisers
What success looks like
  • Working knowledge of Argus Enterprise.
  • MAI or AI-GRS designation from the Appraisal Institute (AI) or possess equivalent experience of at least 5-years in appraising and/or reviewing similar commercial real estate assignments.
  • Must have property type and geographic competency for a given assignment.
  • Have a thorough understanding of USPAP and the AI Code of Professional Ethics.
  • Understanding of approaches to value and nuances associated with each approach
  • Understanding discounted cash flow analysis & Argus
  • Familiarity with client requirements & nuances (eg: CMBS)
  • Possess time management skills to complete internal reviews in a timely manner.
  • Communicate review comments in a clear and concise manner
  • Provide constructive comments and analysis throughout review
  • Offer solutions to complex appraisal problems
  • Provide guidance and support to engaged appraiser as necessary
