Bowery Valuation is hiring an Associate in Valuation in Boston, MA. You will learn to complete commercial property appraisals, collect market data, and support senior appraisers across diverse geographies. The program emphasizes mentorship, hands-on learning, and career progression towards certification as a general appraiser.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness to travel to property sites and work in various locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the valuation of commercial properties by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting market data.
• Conduct property inspections and gather relevant property information.
• Assist in preparing appraisal reports in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Research local market trends, property sales, and rental data; collaborate with senior appraisers to learn methodologies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date appraisal files and documentation.
• Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance appraisal knowledge and skills.
• Develop an understanding of appraisal principles, practices, and regulations.
• Work cohesively with others and also independently.
