Carrier Global Corporation seeks a Validation Software Engineer to set strategy and standards for the test and validation engineering organization. You will lead C# development for hardware control, data acquisition, and reporting, while defining test procedures and documenting validation activities.

The role requires collaborating with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and suppliers to drive product development and validation efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, Software or an other engineering discipline.
• Experience interfacing software applications with hardware, instrumentation, data acquisition systems, or embedded devices.
• Proficiency in C# and familiarity with Python, LabVIEW, C++, or similar environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications for hardware control, automated testing, data acquisition, and reporting (C# focus).
• Create and troubleshoot electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and test systems.
• Plan, execute, and document validation testing (functional, environmental, reliability, performance).
• Analyze results, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions and product improvements.
• Coordinate validation projects, schedules, resources, risks, and stakeholder communication.

About This Role

We are seeking a Validation Software Engineer with technical expertise to set the strategy and standards for our test and validation engineering organization. This role combines advanced C# software architecture, electrical test system design, and platform-wide technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications used for hardware control, automated testing, data acquisition, and reporting, with a primary focus on C# development.
• Create, review, and troubleshoot electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and test systems to support product development and validation activities.
• Plan, execute, and document validation testing, including functional, environmental, reliability, and performance evaluations.
• Analyze test results, identify root causes of failures, and provide recommendations for corrective actions and product improvements.
• Manage validation projects by coordinating schedules, resources, risks, deliverables, and communication with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and supplier teams to support successful product development and validation efforts.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, Software or an other engineering discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in developing software applications that interface with hardware, instrumentation, data acquisition systems, or embedded devices in a manufacturing or regulated environment.
• Proficiency in C# and familiarity with additional programming languages or development environments such as Python, LabVIEW, C++, or similar technologies.
• Experience developing software applications that interface with hardware, instrumentation, data acquisition systems, or embedded devices.
• Ability to create, interpret, and troubleshoot electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and test system documentation.
• Knowledge of test and validation methodologies, including test planning, execution, data analysis, and technical reporting.
• Demonstrated project management, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across functional teams.

Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is between $53,000.00 - $106,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate. The pay range will not be below the minimum wage applicable to the jurisdiction in which the applicant is to be employed.

Other Compensation

This position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
