This is a full‑time salaried position with Project Farma, a PerkinElmer company. The successful candidate will reside in one of Project Farma's primary markets and be willing to travel domestically to meet client project requests. Project Farma’s purpose is to improve patient lives by accelerating the delivery of life‑changing therapies. The Validation – Manager/Senior Manager will lead teams and oversee the execution of work aligned to project, client, and business objectives, balancing people leadership with operational accountability.
Responsibilities
- Site Strategy
- Develop and own the site strategy to position the firm as a leader in CQV services
- Create a strategic roadmap to drive site growth and align with firm objectives
- Proactively identify client needs to foster site expansion
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders (client executives, decision‑makers)
- Business Growth & Development
- Drive site‑level business expansion with a strategic focus to expand services and opportunities
- Maintain dashboards and pursue expansion opportunities with Project Leads
- Own project extensions, proposal generation, and provide input into site RFPs
- Participate in industry events to build a local network and collaborate with the Market Director
- Monitor and achieve operational KPIs and targets; analyze project performance metrics to identify opportunities for scaling
- Leadership & Talent Development
- Oversee career development, performance, and succession planning of the entire site team
- Coach, mentor, and develop team leads for future leadership roles
- Develop and maintain succession plans for teams or project leads
- Lead a high‑performing team, fostering accountability and collaboration
- Manage teams at various client sites to ensure consistency of technical services
- Resource Management
- Drive resourcing decisions for the site and collaborate with Market Directors for optimal staffing
- Forecast future resource needs and maintain a forward‑looking resource plan
- Manage resource utilization and team mix to ensure high‑quality project delivery within budget
- Technical Delivery
- Oversee technical delivery for site or market projects, ensuring high‑quality outcomes
- Ensure appropriate staffing meets project requirements and client expectations
- Serve as an escalation point for technical issues
- Ensure delivery of GMP Engineering services that meet client specifications and regulatory standards
- Own and delegate project execution, ensuring timelines and budgets are met
- Operational Performance & Billability
- Maintain 100% individual billability while supporting site team forecast hours and targets
- Align team performance to billable hours in support of operational goals
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (or Master’s) in Life Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience in CQV engineering, cGMP facility start‑up, project management, or comparable military experience.
- 7–13 years of advanced therapy, life science, pharmaceutical, or biotech experience.
- Minimum 4 years managing high‑performing teams and 2 years of business development, lead generation, or sales experience.
- Willingness to travel domestically for client project assignments and business development initiatives.
- Experience operating as a trusted strategic advisor to organizational decision‑makers on short‑ and long‑term initiatives.
- Ability to translate client visions into clear direction, framing projects, and delivering results.
- Proven technical and managerial capabilities in developing solutions to engineering and business problems and managing deliverables and client expectations.
