Job summary

Trident Consulting in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking a Validation Engineer to lead electrical feature testing for vehicle programs onsite. You will work with suppliers and engineering support teams to validate and resolve electrical issues to support successful vehicle launches.

Location: Auburn Hills, MI (Onsite - Local candidates preferred)

Bill Rate: $30/hr on W2

Description:

The Validation Engineer is responsible to lead electrical feature testing for specific vehicle programs and should be capable of working with suppliers, various Engineering Support teams including systems, wiring, design release engineers, Program Management, and Manufacturing teams as required to validate and resolve electrical issues to support successful vehicle launch.

Responsibilities:

• Create test plans for electrical features across the vehicle: cluster, radio, body control module, telematics, and powertrain
• Develop, maintain, and execute test plans (DVP&R) at the vehicle level
• Report defects based upon test plan failures
• Develop and maintain subsystem test benches
• Root cause analysis of issues found
• Provide feedback on System Requirements to ensure specs are testable

What you need for this position:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
• Knowledge of CAN based communication and tools
• Experience with multimeters and oscilloscopes

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of CAN-FD and Ethernet protocol
• Creating test plans
• Performing System Behavior Testing
