Job summary

KTek Resourcing seeks an experienced engineer to develop methodologies for characterizing the mechanical and thermal performance of battery materials, components, and cells. You will design test protocols and coordinate with testing labs to standardize methods.

You will collaborate with technicians to execute plans, analyze results, and report findings to guide engineering decisions in a fast-paced battery environment.

Qualifications

• Experience developing mechanical/thermal characterization methods for batteries.
• Strong knowledge of battery testing standards.
• Ability to design test protocols and standards.
• Experience coordinating with external labs.
• Experience analyzing and reporting test results.

• Develop test methodologies to characterize mechanical and thermal performance of battery materials, components, and cells
• Design test protocols and standards for battery-level performance evaluation
• Work with 3rd party labs to address testing gaps and bring up to testing methods
• Collaborate with testing technicians to ensure proper execution of test plans
• Analyze and report on test results to inform engineering decisions
• MS in Mechanical Eng or related with 3 years’ experience or BS with 5+ years
• Demonstrated experience developing methodologies for mechanical and thermal characterization of battery materials/components/cells
• Strong background in battery testing standards and best practices
