Job summary

JobDiva, Inc. is seeking a Validation Engineer in Hillsboro, OR to support hardware validation, motherboard rework, and lab operations.

You will manage lab inventory, assist with new hardware bring-up, install SoC/CPU and heatsinks, flash BIOS, install operating systems, and coordinate procurement and shipping as needed. The role requires hands-on experience with motherboards, soldering, and reading schematics, plus attention to detail and safe handling of sensitive components like SoCs.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with motherboards in a hardware lab.
• Experience soldering and desoldering components.
• Ability to read large electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Experience with hardware validation activities and lab inventory management.
• Basic knowledge of AI.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware rework on Client motherboards (resistors, capacitors, wiring/unwiring, probing).
• Perform inventory management, including lab logistics and tracking team inventory.
• Support new hardware bring-up (install SoC/CPU, heatsinks, BIOS flashing, OS installation).
• Support procurement, shipping, and receiving activities.
• Ramp systems up and down in the lab as required.
• Support hardware validation and troubleshooting activities.
• Handle sensitive electronic components such as SoCs following proper ESD procedures.

The Validation Engineer will support hardware validation activities, including motherboard rework, new hardware bring-up, lab inventory management, and procurement/shipping activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform hardware rework on Client motherboards, including:
  • Resistors and capacitors
  • Wiring and unwiring
  • Probing
• Perform inventory management, including lab logistics and tracking team inventory.
• Support new hardware bring-up, including:
  • Installing SoC/CPU
  • Installing heatsinks
  • Flashing BIOS
  • Installing and configuring operating systems
• Support procurement, shipping, and receiving activities.
• Ramp systems up and down in the lab as required.
• Support hardware validation and troubleshooting activities.
• Handle sensitive electronic components such as SoCs following proper ESD and handling procedures.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Hands-on experience working with motherboards.
• Experience with soldering and de-soldering.
• Experience ramping hardware systems up and down in a laboratory environment.
• Ability to read and understand large electrical schematics and circuit diagrams, such as Allegro designs.
• Experience handling sensitive electronic components, including SoCs.
• Experience with hardware validation.
• Basic knowledge of AI.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate lab inventory and equipment records.
