Job summary

MAC Septic in Rock Hill, SC is seeking a Vacuum Truck Technician to perform residential and commercial septic services, pump and clean systems, and maintain equipment. The role requires operating a large vacuum truck, on-call availability, and adherence to regulatory standards.

The candidate will work closely with the EVP/COO to ensure service quality, safety, and compliance while developing relationships with customers and partners.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Class B CDL with Tanker Endorsement (X).
• Proficient in MS Outlook for email and forms.
• Smartphone required.
• Ability to follow regulatory requirements and certifications.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently; flexible to schedules.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain a 2500-5000 gallon vacuum truck.
• Conduct residential septic pumping and cleaning.
• Perform commercial grease trap/interceptor cleaning and maintenance.
• Conduct municipal lift station pumping and cleaning.
• Repair septic tanks and pump systems.
• Inspect residential septic systems.
• Operate a mini-excavator.
• Adhere to all regulations.
• Be on-call during nights/weekends for emergencies.
• Develop professional relationships with customers, suppliers, partners and agencies.
• Complete required forms and administrative documentation.
• Ensure company property accountability.
• Identify opportunities for growth and new business.
• Adhere to training programs and certifications.
• Other duties as directed by COO.
