Job summary
Super Products LLC, an Alamo Group Company, is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to service and repair truck-mounted vacuum equipment in our Merrillville, Indiana location. You will troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems, perform preventive maintenance, and travel to field sites as needed.
The ideal candidate has at least three years of verifiable mechanic experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to read schematics.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Minimum three years verifiable experience as a mechanic.
- Experience with truck mounted vacuum equipment preferred.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
- Perform scheduled PM inspections of chassis and vacuum body and related systems.
- Repair to DOT or OEM standards to return rental equipment ready to rent.
- Document inspections of fleet equipment and maintain shop areas.
