Job summary

Reconn Utility Services is seeking candidates for daytime, full-time vacuum excavation roles. You will travel to job sites to perform hydro-excavation using water or air, document work on a company laptop, and support associated construction tasks near utilities.

Training is provided and no prior industry experience is required. The position requires outdoors work in varying weather, valid driver's license with a safe driving record, and flexibility for overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record are required.
• DOT medical card is required where applicable.
• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Customer service experience is a plus and communication must be clear.

Responsibilities

• Perform vacuum excavation at assigned work sites near utilities.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions and document progress with company laptop.
• Assist with core drilling, shoveling, back filling and general construction labor.
• Occasional overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts may be required.

These are daytime, full-time positions, and some overtime may be required. Training will be provided. No industry experience is necessary.

Vacuum Excavation team members are responsible for traveling to an assigned work site to perform vacuum excavation. There are several different names for this type of work, including: hydro-excavation, potholing, keyholing and air-vac. Vacuum excavation involves soil extraction through vacuum when using pressurized water or air for breaking ground.

This position requires you to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions and use a company provided laptop to document the project. You will perform various vacuum excavation activities near utilities, including: core drilling, shoveling, back filling and construction labor.

What We Need from You (Our Requirements):

• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record required; CDL position requires an A or B CDL

• Must currently possess or have the ability to possess a DOT medical card for all positions

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Previous outdoor experience is a plus

• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed

• Able to stand and walk for long periods of time on varying types of terrain; bendand stoop; lift heavy items up to 75 lbs.

• Proficiency with technology

• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners. Customer service experience is a plus

• Able to pass a drug screen (this is a safety-sensitive position)
