Job summary

Vactor Mfg. Inc. in Streator, IL, seeks an experienced mechanical assembler to join our manufacturing team. You will read drawings, assemble components, and perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical applications to build vacuum trucks and related equipment.

Candidates must have at least 2 years of mechanical assembly experience, be able to read blueprints and hydraulic schematics, operate cranes and hand tools, and lift up to 50 lbs. This role offers overtime and a path for career growth.

• Minimum of 2 years mechanical assembly experience with strong mechanical aptitude.
• Must be able to read blueprints, hydraulic schematics, diagrams, and build tickets.
• Ability to operate overhead crane, hoist, miscellaneous air and electric hand tools.
• Ability to work in prolonged postures (bending, stooping, kneeling, walking, standing, and squatting) while performing all job tasks.
• Ability to climb ladders.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
