Job summary

City of Burlington is seeking staff for Vacation Camp and after-school programs. You will lead crafts, gym activities, and themed blocks for a group of campers, under supervision of supervisors and recreation staff.

Responsibilities include maintaining ratio and safety, assisting with field trips, and ensuring a positive, inclusive environment. Training, safety checks, and early setup are required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in groups or individually.
• First Aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain before start.

Responsibilities

• Lead and co-lead crafted, gym, and activity blocks per daily schedule.
• Maintain proper staff-to-child ratios and active supervision at all times.
• Supervise groups during field trips or guest days.
• Follow departmental and state licensing rules and regulations.
• Assist in planning activities with the Director.
• Check for safety hazards and report deficiencies.
