Vac Truck Operator

Position Summary
The Vac Truck Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining vacuum trucks to safely remove, transport, and dispose of non-hazardous and hazardous materials (liquids, sludge, and solids) from job sites. This role requires strict adherence to safety regulations, environmental standards, and company procedures.
Pay: $30 and up
Key Responsibilities
- Operate vacuum trucks and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Perform industrial cleaning services such as hydro-excavation, tank cleaning, and line flushing
- Load and unload waste materials using vacuum hoses and pumping systems
- Transport materials to approved disposal or treatment facilities
- Inspect equipment before and after use to ensure safe operating conditions
- Perform routine maintenance on trucks (checking fluids, greasing, minor repairs)
- Follow all DOT, OSHA, and environmental regulations
- Complete required documentation including logs, manifests, and service reports
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatch, and customers on site
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – Class A or B (required)
- Previous experience operating vacuum trucks or similar heavy equipment (preferred)
- Knowledge of safety procedures and environmental regulations
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Time management and reliability
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing
- Ability to work in confined spaces or industrial environments

- Industrial sites, construction sites, refineries, and municipal locations
