Job summary

Northern Gulf Services is seeking a Collection Driver to deliver and repair UCO collection bins, execute routes, and support the collection team along the Gulf coast. You will help gather used cooking oil from restaurants and other facilities, ensuring accurate records and safe vehicle operation.

The role requires a CDL Class A license and at least three years of relevant experience, with preferred background in waste collection and mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the UCO collection vehicle.
• Conduct point-to-point pickup and drop off of used cooking oil (UCO). When not on route, assist in shop tasks and deliver UCO bins.
• Maintain the UCO collection vehicle in good working order and update maintenance logs.
• Follow collection routes as directed by the route management team.
• Record data on collection bins and report pertinent information to management.
• Relay communications from restaurant management to the appropriate party.
• Unload truck at warehouse and ensure collected volume is logged by operations.
• Submit maintenance tickets for damaged bins.
• Fill out CRM information for each stop on route.
• Perform plant-related tasks including cleaning trucks, bins, oil processing, and minor repairs.

About Northern Gulf Services / LCS : Northern Gulf and its affiliated entities is/are a renewable fuel logistics and distribution company(s), focused on aggregating, separating and selling used-cooking oil ("UCO") along the Gulf coast. The company seeks to make a positive impact on the local community and environment. Our business places collection bins at customer locations to collect UCO and grease from cooking and food production operations. Representative customers include: restaurants, stadiums, institutions and food manufacturing facilities.

Job description: The "Collection Driver's" primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: delivering bins to new customers, repair existing bins in the field, execute collection routes, and support the overall mission of the Collection Team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Safe operation of UCO Collection vehicle.


2. Primary responsibility is to conduct point-to-point pickup and drop off of UCO. When none of these requirements are available working in the shop area helping out with projects and delivering UCO bins is required.


3. Ensure the UCO collection vehicle is in proper working order and that maintenance logs are updated and accurate.


4. Execute the collection routes provided by the route management team.


5. Log relevant data regarding the conditions of the collection bins and relay any pertinent information to management.


6. Relay any communication from the restaurant's management team back to the appropriate party.


7. Unload truck at warehouse and ensure the volume gathered is recorded by operations.


8. Submit maintenance tickets for damaged bins.


9. Fill out Customer Relationship Management information for each stop on route.


10. Perform necessary functions and duties around processing plant, activities to include but not limited to: cleaning trucks, collection bins, minor repairs, oil processing, other.
