Job summary

MD Staffing Services, Inc. seeks a Physician to provide outpatient primary care at the Pottsville Veterans Affairs Community-Based Outpatient Clinic in Pottsville, Pennsylvania. This is a full-time position, with the option for locum tenens; Veterans care is a focus and a weekday schedule is offered.

Responsibilities include delivering preventive care, managing acute and chronic conditions, and coordinating care with the Veterans Affairs team to ensure high-quality, continuous care for patients.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Current unrestricted medical license.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Current DEA registration.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary and preventive care to Veterans.
• Evaluate and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Perform routine examinations and follow-up visits.
• Order and review laboratory and diagnostic testing.
• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans.
• Educate Veterans about their health and treatment options.
• Coordinate care with specialists and other team members.
• Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation.
