Job summary

DirectShifts seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to perform VA C&P General Medicine examinations in Minnesota, reviewing veterans' medical histories and documenting findings per VA guidelines. The role involves comprehensive physical assessments, accurate DBQ completion, and detailed medical reporting.

You will collaborate with clinical and administrative teams, ensuring timely evaluations while maintaining HIPAA compliance and state/federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license required.
• Collaborative agreement with supervising physician, where required by state law.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while following clinical protocols.

• Review Veterans' medical history and supporting documentation prior to each evaluation.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
• Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and all applicable state and federal regulations.
