Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Houma, LA to perform VA Disability Benefits examinations and generate DBQs with strict adherence to VA guidelines.

In this on-site role you will review Veterans' medical histories, conduct comprehensive General Medicine assessments, document findings, and prepare precise reports while ensuring HIPAA compliance and collaboration with clinical and administrative teams.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license.
• Collaborative agreement with supervising physician, where required by state law.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while following clinical protocols.
