Parsons is seeking a talented User Experience/User Interface Software Engineer to join our team in support of defense cyber initiatives. You will translate mission requirements into accessible, user-centric visualizations for government systems.

You will collaborate with back-end developers, stakeholders, and agile teams to design and implement intuitive front-end interfaces using HTML/CSS/JavaScript and modern frameworks, while ensuring Section 508 compliance.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph is required.
• Bachelors degree; additional years of experience may count in lieu of a degree.
• 10+ years of experience with relevant education, training, and certifications counting toward total years.
• Proficiency with UX design tools and methodologies.
• Strong understanding of Section 508 accessibility standards.
• Experience with front-end frameworks (Svelte, Angular, Vue.js) and Bootstrap.

Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a talented User Experience/User Interface Software Engineer to join our growing team!

In this role you will get to support key activities in defense of emerging threats in the cybersecurity domain. You will work as part of a team that develops and tailors capabilities with the goal to prevent and eradicate cyber threats to critical U.S. systems.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Provide user experience design support for government systems, translating mission and functional requirements into usable, accessible, and consistent user centric visualizations ensuring consistent look/feel/operational workflows.
• Validate user requirements by conducting user research, workflow analysis, and usability evaluations to inform design decisions.
• Validate system usability in coordination with development team members and government stakeholders/product owners and translate them into user-centric design solutions.
• Design and Develop intuitive user interfaces.
• Develop and maintain UX artifacts, including wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and design standards, ensuring compliance with government accessibility requirements (e.g., Section 508) and approved design guidelines.
• Collaborate with contractor teammates to support system development, integration, testing, and change management activities, and provide required UI/UX documentation and deliverables. This includes collaboration with back-end developers to integrate front-end code with server-side logic and databases.
• Collaborate in agile scrum cycles, contributing to design sessions, and providing support for testing and documentation

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph
• Bachelors degree, with additional years of experience able to count in lieu of a degree
• 10+ years of experience, with additional education, training, and certifications able to count towards total years of experience
• Proficiency with UX Design tools.
• Solid understanding of 508 Compliance standards for design and implementation.
• Experience with front end frameworks like Svelte, Angular, VueJs and design libraries such as Bootstrap.
• Experience with HTML/CSS principals and JavaScript.
• Experience working in close collaboration with government stakeholders and internal analyst stakeholders.
• Experience working as part of a Scaled Agile team with ability to operate under deadlines with evolving requirements.

Security Clearance Requirement:
