About the Role

We are seeking a Senior UX/UI Designer to drive end-to-end product design and architect robust design systems across complex digital environments. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional, technology-focused teams - partnering closely with software engineering, clinical, marketing, and human factors groups to take ideas from early concepts to launch.

We need an expert who does not just use existing component libraries, but someone who has built, structured, and architected design systems from scratch and understands how modern AI-driven workflows (such as Figma MCP servers, design tokens, and structured documentation) interact with design assets.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Product Design: Define, design, and document all user-experience aspects of product interfaces, including screen layouts, navigation flows, UI functionality, notifications, alerts, and iconography for web and mobile.
• Design System Architecture: Build, maintain, and scale complex design systems - creating reusable components, tokens, versioning models, and clear documentation in close partnership with engineering teams.
• User Advocacy & Cross-Functional Alignment: Act as the voice of the end user, collaborating closely with industrial design, software engineering, clinical, and marketing teams to test and refine interfaces.
• AI Workflow Integration: Leverage AI tools in design and development processes, ensuring design system assets are structured effectively for AI agents and code-generation environments.
• Execution & Technical Delivery: Balance collaborative sessions with independent execution, ensuring all deliverables meet high standards of usability, accessibility, and precision.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 5+ Years in UX/UI Product Design: Proven experience delivering end-to-end user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and polished production UI for web/mobile (Strong Portfolio Required).
• 3+ Years Building & Architecting Design Systems: Hands-on experience structuring components, design tokens, versioning, and documentation from the ground up across multi-team/multi-product environments (not just consuming libraries).
• 1+ Year Using AI Tools in Workflows: Practical experience integrating AI tools into design/dev processes, with a clear understanding of how AI agents consume design system assets (e.g., Figma MCP server, token structures, structured docs).

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Industry Background: 2+ years designing for Healthcare, Clinical, or Regulated environments (Medical industry highly preferred).
• Complex Enterprise Software: Experience working on data-dense enterprise applications, workflow tools, or real-time alerting systems.
• Front-End Familiarity: Understanding of front-end frameworks (React, Angular) and documentation tools like Storybook.
• Design System Governance: Experience establishing governance models, contribution guidelines, or multi-team adoption strategies.
• Accessibility Standards: 3+ years applying WCAG 2.1 AA (or higher) standards in shipped digital products.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Interaction Design, HCI, Graphic/Visual Design, or equivalent professional experience.
• Certifications (Optional): NN/g UX Certification, IAAP CPACC, or WAS accessibility credentials.
