Job summary

Applied Medical Corporation is seeking a UX/UI designer to drive digital transformation by crafting intuitive, scalable interfaces for enterprise applications, ERP-integrated solutions, and custom web and native apps. Collaborate with developers, analysts, PMs and architects to shape design strategy.

This role emphasizes user-centered design, design systems, and accessibility, with a focus on improving efficiency, usability, and consistency across the enterprise ecosystem.

Qualifications

  • Brings more than two years of experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with design tools such as Figma and workflow applications such as Visio or Lucidchart.
  • Applies a strong understanding of user experience and user interface design principles, methodologies, and best practices, particularly within mobile and responsive design environments.
  • Uses analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate complex user experience challenges and develop effective solutions.
  • Demonstrates familiarity with HTML, CSS, and modern web development principles to support successful design-to-development collaboration.
  • Works effectively within Agile development environments and adapts designs to evolving business and technical requirements.
  • Manages multiple design projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality, consistency, and attention to detail.
  • Communicates effectively through visual, written, and verbal channels while collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Position Description

The UX/UI designer supports Applied Medical’s digital transformation initiatives by designing intuitive, scalable, and information-rich user experiences for enterprise applications. This role contributes to the success of Applied Medical’s vertically integrated technology ecosystem by creating user-centered interfaces that improve efficiency, streamline business processes, and enhance the overall experience of internal users.

Working closely with software developers, business analysts, project managers, and application architects, the UX/UI designer helps shape the design strategy for enterprise software, ERP-integrated solutions, and custom web and native applications. This position aligns with user experience designer, user interface designer, product designer, and interaction designer roles focused on enterprise application development and digital experience design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and stakeholder interviews to gather insights and validate design decisions.
  • Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity design mockups using tools such as Figma.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project partners to translate business requirements into user-centered design solutions.

  • Manages multiple design projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality, consistency, and attention to detail.
  • Communicates effectively through visual, written, and verbal channels while collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Brings experience designing enterprise applications, internal business systems, or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms.
  • Demonstrates experience conducting usability testing, accessibility reviews, and user research initiatives.

  • Maintains a portfolio that demonstrates user-centered design thinking, interactive prototyping, and successful product outcomes.
